| For the last year, we have been busy building and growing the capabilities of the U.CASH network. In August 2017, with the launch of our IBO (Initial Bounty Offering), we set an industry precedent by kickstarting the ecosystem with user functionality to manage, send & receive funds globally, as well as earn bounties (for helping grow the U.CASH ecosystem) and other services. Today we set another industry precedent by letting you know about multiple DApps (Decentralized Applications) and services that have been launched recently. All of these services and applications individually are a part of the larger mission to empower users to access alternative financial services, and can function independently or in combination where available. These releases are just the beginning as the U.CASH network will be launching many more with the input of global ecosystem builders over the coming months and years. uCollateral is a DApp (Decentralized Application) that enables user to deposit their UCASH network currency to receive a bounty reward after certain periods of time. 3rd Party Loan Providers will use the number of UCASH allocated to the uCollateral DApp to assess how much capital is reasonable to provide to U.CASH network converters that need digital currency liquidity to get started offering services. These converters are carefully vetted, and digital fiat currencies are provided to them on payback plans so users can access cash-in and cash-out services through them. In the case of default of payment, the UCASH provided to the contract is used as a last resort collateral for the repayment of loans. Although it is named "Collateral", in this version of the DApp, only the bounties allocated to the contract for payout are actually claimable by anyone other than the depositor of the UCASH. The uCurrencies DApp (Decentralized Application) allows users, businesses and organizations to quickly and easily create their own digital tokens. These uCurrencies (as we call them) can be used to represent anything from Loyalty Points, Rewards, Digital Currencies, Shopping Credits and many other use cases. Users can peg them to the UCASH network currency to get instant value for their newly created token (the smaller the peg, the closer the value to UCASH, ie. 1:1 peg, 1:2 peg, etc.). Creators of uCurrencies can also have a max amount of supply to be ever created, thereby limiting the amount that will be in circulation. This gives those uCurrencies at least a base value of the pegged UCASH amount, and then when the max supply has been reached, individual value above and beyond the peg. Users can also redeem their uCurrency for UCASH according to the peg amount at any time through the smart-contract. uCurrencies can also be requested to be listed on U.EXCHANGE (more about this below), and can start trading against Ether (ETH) on a decentralized platform pretty quickly. On the uCurrencies site itself, users can convert easily between UCASH and various uCurrencies (and each other) directly from the smart-contract. Some uCurrency creators can also follow a process to get a verified badge, helping them stick out from other uCurrencies and gaining access to additional functionality. U.EXCHANGE is a decentralized exchange (DEX) that is powered by smart-contracts and allows users to trade between Ether (ETH) and hundreds of ERC20 standard tokens built on top of the Ethereum network. Even if not directly listed on the DEX, any ERC20 can be traded just by replacing part of the URL (the token ticker) with the smart-contract address of the token. uCurrencies can also be traded right after creation (through inputting the smart-contract address in the URL), but can also be optionally listed in the dropdown menus, as well as with their ticker names in the URL. As a Decentralized Exchange (DEX), this platform allows users to trade while also having full power over their funds with only the smart-contracts being interacted with. This removes the need for a custodian, and allows users to trade without permission or requirement to register an account. All that's needed is a Web3 Provider such as Metamask or other software. Currently we do not charge a direct fee for usage of the DEX, but order book liquidity takers (Buying or Selling into an existing order on the books) do pay a 0.3% charge to 3rd party contract data providers. Depositing, withdrawing, cancelling and being a maker (putting orders on the book) all have a 0% fees. | You've probably heard us talk over and over about our mission to help bank the unbanked, unbank the overbanked as well as the wrongly banked on top of building an ecosystem of alternative financial services. This is not a small endeavour and we wouldn't be able to do it without the help of individuals, organizations and businesses all over the world. With the releases of the services mentioned above, and the continued release of other apps and capabilities, we believe we will slowly but surely build an ecosystem that empowers the world and helps grow towards financial freedom. As individual services, these apps and sites make small strides towards the larger goal, but as a combination, they are much more powerful. Building a network with a unified style, image, design, brand recognition, purpose and cross-marketing is something we all believe can offer the world capabilities that have not truly been experienced before: a truly distributed financial services ecosystem. Every initiative will play some part in meeting the larger ecosystem goals, and we hope that as the network releases an increasing amount of services, DApps, and capabilities, we will help empower global users, businesses and organizations. We know this will be a long and strenuous process, but it is one we, and all of our builders, converters, partners, and developers are commited to. We may be quietly building and growing, but that doesn't mean we're stopping.
